Complementary feed for horses

Competitive is a pre-competition ready to use paste, to be used before long competitions, such as Endurance. Competitive helps sustain a horses’ energy levels by providing ready to use energy they require during competition. Its formulation includes branched-chain amino acids, L-carnitine, L-lysine and vitamin E, which are fundamental substances for all sport horses.

When to use Competitive

Competitive is recommended for those wishing to provide their horses with extra vitamin E intake and extra energy to spend during long competitions such as Endurance.

Properties

Branched-chain amino acids (valine, leucine and isoleucine) have a medium to long term energizing effect which is particularly useful in long competitions such as endurance and evening ones (3). L-carnitine is involved in the energy production process: it is in essential in the transportation of fatty acids across the mitochondria membrane, thus speeding up the transformation into energy. Carnitine, which is also known as a glycogen loader, is largely used in horse competition training programs, especially in the United States (16). Thanks to its antioxidant action, vitamin E is useful in case of muscle cramps (6).

Instructions for use

Use a whole Competitive syringe 3 hours before competition and at vet gates, if required.
