Description: Sanihoof is a hoof sole paste product especially conceived to meet the needs of barefoot horses. It is highly more transpiring than pine tar and, therefore, the substances contained in Sanihoof reduce bacteria proliferation even more than pine tar.
When to use Sanihoof: Sanihoof has been especially conceived for barefoot horses, but it is actually perfect for all horses that do not have the chance to spend a long time outside and, therefore, need to have their feet better protected against the dirt and bacteria of their litters.
Property of its constituents: Sanihoof’s formula includes substances, such as zinc oxide and the essential oil of Melaleuca alternifolia, that naturally harden the horse’s sole and fight the proliferation of pathogens, such as bacteria and fungi. Moreover, thanks to the high concentration of zinc oxide and essential oils, Sanihoof stays on site for a long time and resists to water and mud.
Use and dosage: Apply Sanihoof after carefully and deeply cleaning the horse’s foot. In particular, it is suggested to apply the product after removing all traces of dirt and disinfecting with copper sulfate. Bandages to keep the product on site are not necessary.
This product does not cause any adverse reaction. Nevertheless, since every organism has its own peculiarities, it is suggested to test the product on a small area to evaluate its effect on the horse.
