Description: Lactic Control is the paste syringe containing L-carnitine, trimethylglycine, L-glycine and sodium citrate. It inhibits lactic acid formation and, simultaneously, facilitates its removal from muscles fibres via blood circulation. Lactic Control is especially conceived to counteract lactic acid, an enemy of sporthorses.
When to use Lactic Control: Lactic Control is especially conceived to counteract lactic acid formation in sporthorses and remove it from muscles fibres. Therefore, Lactic Control can prevent the onset of all the typical problems due to lactic acid accumulation, such as pain, muscular stiffness, cramps and poor competitive performances.
Properties of its constituents: L-carnitine is an amino acid-like substance in charge of the transportation of long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria, where cellular respiration reactions and energy production reactions take place (18). Trimethylglycine is an important detoxifying agent, whose main role is to transform homocysteine into methionine, thus preventing homocysteine accumulation in the body (26).
Use and dosage: Administer a whole Lactic Control syringe three or four hours before a competition. Administer another syringe after the contest if the horse is competing the following day too.
This product does not cause any adverse reaction. Nevertheless, since every organism has its own peculiarities, dietary supplements, feeds and complementary feeds should always be introduced in a horse’s diet gradually, in order to evaluate the product’s effects on the horse.
