Description

Complementary feed for horses

Calciumphos is the perfect complementary feed to provide broodmares and foals with important sources of calcium and phosphorus, which are fundamental substances for skeletal formation in foals. Calciumphos is a blend of calcium (from calcium lactate) and phosphorus (from monocalcium phosphate, the only water-soluble source of phosphorus existing), enriched with vitamin B12 and amino acids, such as L-lysine and L-threonine.

When to use Calciumphos

Calciumphos is the perfect complementary feed to:

– Provide broodmares with important sources of calcium and phosphorus during pregnancy
– Enrich foals’ diets with calcium and phosphorus, which are fundamental for skeletal health, during their first months of life
– Enrich milk with calcium and phosphorus during the nursing phase.

Properties of its constituents

Calciumphos contains highly bioavailable sources of calcium and phosphorus, such as calcium lactate and monocalcium phosphate. Moreover, it is enriched with vitamin B12, vitamin E, vitamin D3 and amino acids, such as threonine, methionine and lysine. Such substances provide both broodmares and foals with some important nutritional elements.

Instructions for use

– Foals: Properly mix 50-100 g of Calciumphos per day with the daily ration, for at least 90-120 consecutive days. Feed Calciumphos to foals for at least 3-4 months after weaning.
– Mares in foal: From the 6th or 7th month of pregnancy on, properly mix 100 g of Calciumphos per day with the daily ration.
– Nursing mares: Properly mix 150 g of Calciumphos per day with the daily ration for at least 90 consecutive days and, anyway, until weaning is complete.

Measuring scoop:

– level full: 31 g
– rounded full: 39 g”

(Since each horse has its own peculiarities feeds and complementary feeds should always be introduced in its diet gradually).
