At 13, Fernando started riding horses for owners and throughout the years he was able to ride for a lot of big names in Mexico, such as Gerardo Tazzer, Alberto Valdez, and Guillermo Zambrano. In 2014 he won the national championship and in 2015 he was able to compete in the NC in Wellington. 2017 was a good year for Fernando as he competed in Spruce Meadows over the summer and got numerous top 10 placings in the 5* Grand Prix there. He moved to Europe to continue his career here in May 2019. He was able to compete in some 5* shows, such as Dinard, Hickstead, Gijon, and Barcelona.
