Description: Endurance Electrolyte is the complementary feed especially conceived to restore the salts lost through perspiration during endurance competitions. Endurance Electrolyte has been perfected thanks to the feedbacks of some important riders who tested the product on the competition field. Its aim is to counteract dehydration, one of the main metabolic disorders affecting endurance horses.
When to use Endurance Electrolyte: Use Endurance Electrolyte to provide a quick rehydrating, anti-fatigue and anti-cramp effect, especially during endurance competitions.
Properties of its constituents: What really distinguishes Endurance Electrolyte is its specific weight: it is a highly concentrated product and does not contain any excipient. Its formula is composed of 99% electrolyte salts; therefore, it ensures effective and quick results. In fact, Endurance Electrolyte can reduce dehydration from stage 2 to stage 1 already within 60-90 minutes. Endurance Electrolyte is completely water-soluble, in order to allow its administration in drinking water, and is supplemented with magnesium citrate to reduce the incidence of muscle cramps. Magnesium is a mineral playing a fundamental role to ensure proper body functioning, for it can reduce muscle cramps and accelerate the synthesis of ATP (muscle energy). Magnesium absorption efficiency depends on its salts' solubility: the more they are water-soluble, the more magnesium is available for the body (45). Endurance Electrolyte contains L-glycine, the simplest amino acid known: it accelerates the restoration of electrolyte salts in cells and plays a primary role in the synthesis of proteins, ATP, glutathione and glycogen. Therefore, L-glycine is considered a new antioxidant (4).
Use and dosage: Administer 60 g of Endurance Electrolyte per day, properly mixed with the daily ration. It is suggested to increase the dose up to 90 g per day in case of prolonged efforts or competitive activities and, in particular, during hot seasons. During competitions, the dose can be increased up to 150 g per day. Administer Endurance Electrolyte 2-3 days before the competition and the day of the event. After this period of administration, it is suggested to switch to Elyte C+E. After the administration, leave plenty of drinking water at the horse’s disposal.
